Our heat recovery system saves a Yorkshire cheese business £4,500 per annum

As the twelfth anniversary of the installation of Wensleydale Creamery’s heat recovery system approaches, the team here at DK Heat Recovery has recalculated the cost savings based on today’s fuel price cap. Award-winning Hawes cheesemaker and tourist attraction, Wensleydale Creamery is now saving £4,500 and over 60,000 kWh per annum by harnessing waste heat from its refrigeration plant to provide free hot water for the visitors’ centre. The savings also equate to an annual reduction of 16 tonnes of carbon but do not take into account the carbon savings associated with the reduced number of oil delivery vehicles visiting Hawes. Heat recovery system saves Staffordshire fruit business £20,000 per annum

As the second anniversary of the installation of Dearnsdale Fruit’s heat recovery system approaches, the team at DK Heat Recovery has recalculated the cost savings based on today’s fuel price cap. Staffordshire soft fruit farmer, Dearnsdale Fruit is now saving £19,596 and over 230,000 kWh per annum by harnessing waste heat from its cold store. We’re proud to share the news that we helped a Harrogate food hall, bar and kitchen to save over £29,000 and reduced its carbon emissions by 80 tonnes per annum. A three-way partnership between DK Heat Recovery, Creative Retail Solutions and Seckers Refrigeration Engineering resulted in the installation of a 1500 litre vessel with 72kW of BS EN 1717 compliant twin wall internal heat exchangers at Crimple in Harrogate. As the seventh anniversary of the installation of Keelham Farm Shop’s heat recovery system approaches, we have recalculated the cost savings based on today’s fuel price cap. Keelham Farm Shop is now saving £16,000 and over 72,000 kWh per annum by harnessing waste heat from the busy farm shop, butchery and restaurant’s refrigeration units.
